Last summer, I went on vacation to Reunion Island, in the Indian Ocean.
I had never gone so far (11 hours by plane from Paris).
During the hikes, I discovered fantastic landscapes.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t go to the Cirque de Mafate, accessible only by helicopter or on foot (5 hours minimum walk).
Coming home, I composed this piece, which imagines a walk through the wild vegetation of Mafate. It’s romantic, almost dreamlike, the inspiration was there.
This is, to date, my favorite composition.
I’m sure you’ll like it too!
