“Un sourire et une larme”, means “a smile and a tear”. It’s a waltz, dancing on both sides of life. A happy and elegant start evolves to a very sensitive midpart in minor keys, to result finally in a warm open smile.
It’s the 6th single of the upcoming album “Petites Danses et Rêveries” by the Belgian neoclassical composer Tom Kristiaan. Each piano piece of the album is connected to dance, with a different story for every track.
The artwork is unique: a local Belgian artist (Wannes De Vogel) made drawings when listening to the music of Tom Kristiaan’s upcoming album. The album is recorded and produced on felt piano by Patrick Hamilton (producer of Katherine Jenkins).
