Sarah Coponat (born April 1993) is a French piano and pop music composer and performer. Influences from her classical music education (Ravel, Debussy, Rachmaninov, Gershwin, Scottt Joplin, Listz) can be heard in her piano pieces.
She has made multiple appearances on France’s national television performing original pieces. She co-composes and produces with her brother, Sébastien Coponat, violinist and double-bass player.
As she started merging her classical work with vocals, she built her modern repertoire with new influences coming from neo-soul and indie pop artists. Sarah has a peculiar cracked voice, with deep and velvety lows.
Her piano work is still omnipresent in her vocal compositions and live performances, where she regularly produces explosive solos.
