Dépayser means ‘disorientate’ or ‘to give a change of scenery to something’. With his new solo piano peace, Martèn LeGrand uses the French word Dépayser in a more melancholic way. He wants to look back to a period in the past, thinking it over while playing or listening to the mindful piano piece. Dépayser has a music video, recorded in Martèn LeGrand’s studio, which will be the first of a series on his Youtube channel.
Dépayser is recorded live on Martèn’s old Winkelmann piano.
